Good Morning guys, back to the grind for most of us I’m guessing. It is for me…ugh! At least it’s a short week!
Today I have for you guys Essie’s Resort Collection for 2011 called the Fair Game collection. I’m guessing from the names that it’s an African Safari theme! I was stalking my Ulta for this but ended up finding/buying it at a local independent beauty supply. I have heard of some people seeing it at Ulta recently though!
First up is Da Bush a light murky sage green. Love this one, are we surprised? nope! Very reminiscent of Stranger Tides from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection from OPI, I will have a comparison of the 2 later this week! The formula was pretty good on this one, I used 2 coats on most nails but some needed 3 coats to even everything out!
Lion Around is a light pink, kind of a dusty rose color with a silver pearly shimmer running throughout. I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Sometimes I would look down at my hands and go WOW I really love this because the shade of pink was very flattering on my skintone…then other times I would look down and see something verging on a frost and was like ick. On a very positive note, I really liked the formula on this, I used 2 coats and it dried really quickly! Sometimes I have problems with Essie drying on me so that was a nice change!
Fair Game is a gunmetal gray with a multicolored shimmer. I have to say, I don’t really care for this one. It leans a little too frosty for me. The color and shimmer are pretty but it just doesn’t do it for me. The formula was great again, I used 2 coats and like Lion Around it dried really quickly!
Your Hut Or Mine *swoon* this polish is so fab, I love it! It’s a kind of dusty dark pink with a beautiful shimmer. Easily my favorite of this collection, I don’t have anything like it in my collection! If someone had told me last year that a collection would come out and the pink in it would be my favorite I would have died laughing…but here it is folks, it’s happened haha! I was trying so hard to get that pretty shimmer to photograph but it’s not coming out as amazing as it looks in real life, if you click on the pictures you can see it better! Great formula again, I used 2 coats for full opacity!
